Default RE: Top 10 Tips

-hunting is shooting. become a consistently good shooter before even thinking about the rest
-learn ethical shot placement from all possible angles
-if an animal you want to harvest doesn't offer a clear, ethical shot, don't just shoot anyway and justify it by saying "But that was the only shot I had"
-be respectful to the game you hunt, you are asking them to give their life so you can extend yours.
-play out different scenarios in your head and decide what you'd do given certain choices, it makes reacting to those ocurrences in the field that much quicker.
-most game, deer especially, will follow their nose. they may here or see something they don't necessarily like, and pass it off as no big deal, but if they smell something they don't like, they're history.
-use checklists and be a Boy Scout-come prepared.
-always practice with the gear you will use in the field.
-you're better off a little too warm than a little too cold.
-hunting ethics apply to the animal you are hunting first, and are the best measure of a good hunter.
