Making bows and arrows by hand from natural materials and knapping stone points for the arrows, even thatistechnology. Stone Age technology, certainly, but technology nonetheless. There are quite a few folks who are tossing their archery gear made with Space Age technology in the trash and going to Stone Age - or at least Iron Age - technology for their bowhunting gear. Pick up a copy of "Primitive Archer" magazine sometime and peruse the pages.
When you use a bow and arrows that you fashioned yourself with no more cost than your own sweat and effort, and put meat on the ground with it, that's a kick you simply cannot get with a compound and all the gadetry you can buy. At least, that's the way I feel about it.
