I think overall woodsmanship is down because of new tech. A GPS is a great thing unless you run out of batteries.
Our society is geared to make things easier and more immediate.
Bingo, i agree, i dont think the tech is a good thing, (even though i use some of it) i would rather not have all this crap, it almost takes the hunting out of hunting, some people say it makes us smarter, i disagree with that because instead of finding a good spot by constantly scouting, you now pick a spot and hang a trail cam, WOW THAT WAS HARD!!! Like i use a rangefinder, but i hunt different places all the time and i am a kid so its hard to tell distance, but i dont have all of the most fanciest gadgets on my bow, i have a 15 dollar stablizer, a 40 doller truglo sight, and a whisker bisciut, not really high tech at todays standards at all, when gun season rolls around, all i have is break action single's not semi's or pumps. i dont have the newest treestand, i have a old hand me down climber. We as hunters should keep hunting the way it should be, not some sport where anyone can take a bow and shoot something, that isnt hunting.
