Those folks that call you and tell you that they may have to come onto your property to retrieve their dogs might also need a place to rest and something to eat. Maybe if they could call your cell phone to let you know that they are also going to intrude into your home for a bit that would be permissable.

Hopefully you can squeeze out the sarcasm and get to the point I wanted to make.
I am a little confused as to why this post is directed at me. I get the sarcasm, and I understand what you are trying to say, however I think that you may have mistaken my position on the current VA "right to retrieve" law. I think that it is poorly written, and does nothing but encourage law breakers to utilize it to continue. It has no teeth in the punishment department (read this as; there is no consequence for abusing this law) and it violates landowners rights. If you look back at all my post's, not just on this forum, but all the hunting forum's that I go to, you will see that my stance has never waivered. I state that I do not necessarilly want to see anybody loose their hunting rights, but that it is time for change in the ways that those rights are carried out. The right to retrieve law needs to be drastically changed, or done away with althgether. I believe that you should be allowed to hunt as you want (within the law) as long as it does not impact another hunter, land user, or the landowner. Ultimately, it is the landowner who should decide how his/her land will be used.
