for those willing to do the unguided hunts and get a great deer you must do your homework and spend some time scouting, go up several times throughout the year to find a location away from the beaten path. Problem with that is the time it takes to do such a thing, but it can be rewarding, i know several groups that go up and they always have a good hunt.
If you can;t dedicate the time towards scouting, then go the guide route, several different guiding services in here offering their expertise and loads more willing to take you out hunting
