Default RE: Virginia Dog Hunting

ORIGINAL: deerdogdude

By the way, anyone who is interested in going in to rent a small 600 acre farm for deer(still only) 27 acre pond on it swamp land and open overgrown pasture p.m. me. bryant1 thanks for that info you sent me. The farm is in prince george and I have taken a few wall hangers out there the last 2 years.plenty of geese also but the land owner will only let you hunt em a couple of times.(He thinks hunting on the pond is a joke since they live there)... and there are dogs that come across this farm every once in awhile so NO DOG MURDERES!
Your welcome, feel free to let other doghunters know about it. Doghunters will always help out other doghunters.

I stillhunt during bow season, which coincides with dog training season and i thoroughly enjoy hearing a good pack of hounds running in the woods- i guess some of you guys think differently!! Most places where deer are run on a regular basis the deer don't pay them any attention- i have hadbucks and does not even pick their heads up when a pack came within 150 yds of my stand. Most deer around here are dogsmart- they know they are not the ones being ran, so they go abouttheir business.
