One thing also to remember is that turkey patterns will change as time goes by. The best time to really watch and take detailed notes is about two weeks before you season starts. You can definitely go out and start watching and observing now, but (from my experience) two weeks before the season starts seems to be the best time to really know where they are going to be the first day of the season.
