Here' s the part that defines an " assault weapon" as pertaining to shotguns...
" (1) " Semi-automatic assault weapon" means:
(D) a semiautomatic shotgun that has any of the following:
(i) a folding or telescoping stock;
(ii) a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon;
(iii) a fixed magazine capacity in excess of 5 rounds; or
(iv) an ability to accept a detachable magazine.
This is a FAR cry from saying that all shotguns with a bore over 50 cal or have threads for choke tubes are included.
