Yeah, I don't really want a gun that will shoot to 60 yards or more. I would like to get a decent 40 yard pattern but beyond that I may as well just use a rifle (legal here).
I just want to hear real world info in hopes to try to narrow down the vast number of tubes and ammo combos that are available. There are always some that will tend to perform in a higher percentage of guns than others will. I am definetly going out to pattern anything I try before the season starts though.
If you are planning on shooting a high-density non-tox shot, than you can figure on buying a choke tube designed for just that. That should narrow it down a bit. Most of those chokes do shoot lead very decently as well. If you are just going to shoot lead... then look for a strictly lead choke tube. Hope that helps a little bit narrowing it down!
