I need some advice on how to respond to these people:

After she saw my pic in a local newspaper (with the doe I got this year), someone today blasted me with "that poor little deer," "don't you feel bad?", "you SHOULD feel bad." Before I even thought, I replied "no", and quickly changed the subject.

This was my first season hunting; I don't need people like this draggin' me down, and I refuse to let them.

I became "addicted" to this new adventure very quickly.

I hope to get some advice and maybe some "magical" words that I can use when I get comments like this.
