I wouldn't want one for turkey hunting. When I'm out in the field I typically walking long distances. The extra weight isn't necessary. Also I've belly crawled across fields and I wouldn't want something else to get caught in the weeds and brush as I drag or push my gun along.

I guess it depends on what you want to do with it.
