Have been on the road this week in southern sask (where the wind blows drifts 10 feet high in places), the deer are yarded up but appeared to be in great shape here. 2-3' snow cap is on the fileds, but since they are yarded up and its blowing lots of food is available. Up north when travelling they are doing about the same, ditchs and meadows have exposed grass, as well wind on fields has made for fairly easy pickings. Good thing for the fluffy snow and cold weather, so they haven' t experienced many hard packs, that come with warm then cold weather.
Deer have just been dropping the horns in mass as of late, this is good news as it points to very limited stress being placed on the herd.
I say they doing just fine here, if you care
