The " Speed Hype" is only " hype" if the bows a pain to shoot. I won' t pick on a particular brand or model, but it becomes " hype" when you need to have a 5-6" brace to get the speed. That' s speed for speeds sake IMO. make it shootable and that' s not Hype...it' s common sense.

Overkill? Why shoot a deer with a 30.06 or a 7MM when a .22 placed properly will do it? PERCENTAGES!!!! That' s why!

Every hunter will make a mistake sooner or later. If I have the KE to blow through an Buck' s shoulder while wearing a Kevlar vest and still get an Exit....are you kidding? Why wouldn' t you?

Price...some can' t afford the new ultra quick easy shooting bows.
Tradition....there' s a certain beauty to taking game with a traditional rig. I' ll leave these guys alone, they usually shoot better than me anyway.
Ignorance...not condescending here. Many just don' t know the new stuff is so much better shooting and think FAST = hard to shoot.
