I agree with the increased KE helping on a bad shot. Not that I take bad shots, but once upon a time I darn near knocked a doe over when I hit her in the shoulder (she moved, I swear) with a muzzy tipped 2315 arrow going 235. Poor penetration = lost doe. My bad, but if it happens again more speed and increased energy for the same amount of pull couldn' t hurt one bit.
