Default RE: IBO Club Insurance

Ohhh... I' m EXTREMELY familiar with insurance & legal verbage. Been doing this for quite awhile as treasurer of a club and not-so-sexytary of a state-wide bowhunting organization.
Had to call Chesley though just to see what the policy covers (which the outcome I noted in my second post to thread). He referred me to a policy writer in Colorado that writes policies for my type of club (archery, firearms, fishing & hunting)... and told me to gave the info to my insurance agent. Our type of sports (collective of archery, rifle, etc enthusiasts) are hard to get policies for that aren' t astronomical. I' m paying dirt cheap now, compared to what I could be paying. The insurance companies you see offering club insurance on the web are very high. I' ve visted them all... they' re between 30 to 300% more expensive. My agent told me on the phone that the insurance market is currently what is called a " hard market" . Nobody is writing new policies, and all commercial premiums are going up 30, 40 & 50%+ across the board, no matter what business or service you' re in. Ours went up 12.75%. Being the skinflint I am... I' m still looking for a cheaper premium.
