Default RE: are these laser sighters any good?

ORIGINAL: lukehunter81

im new to muzzleloaders ive only hunted with shotguns until this year i used a buddys muzzleloader this year so i could extend my season, usually after shotgun season was out i was done for the year but tried it out and loved it, nothing like dropping a buck 150 yards out rather than waitin for it to come in closer and it never happens, anyway i went out and purchased a knight and a scope for it and im going to sight it in, i was up at wal-mart and noticed the had a laser device that is inserted into the end of the barrell it says it will work for .22 cal up to.50 cal being how my muzzleloader is a 50 cal will this thing work?, and if it will is it worth even using? will it sight it in without shooting?
Do they work? Yes ,but they are only designed to get you on the paper.
Are they worth it, not hardly, pull the breach plug lock down the gun look through the bore center a golf ball at 25 yds move the crosshairs till the vertical splits the ball and the horizontal cross the upper edge. Take it out and shoot a 50 yd target group 5 move to desired point. Lee
