Default RE: Your thoughts.. be honest..

Never am jealous of a newbie getting a big buck. As long as he got it legally a congrats is in order.

In response to GregH, Rob and Jeff.

Location, hunting pressure, terrain and the amount of time to huntall play into how hard an area is to hunt in being successfulshooting a maturebuck. Experience, persistanceand luck can't be over looked either.

I'd keep my location butif I could stealJeff's hunting pressure, Rob's trees and GregH's time to hunt...life would be great!!!! [8D] I think Ijust described the golden horse shoe crammed up Hunsucker's arse!!

Seriously each area has it's benefits and hardships.Saying GregH has it good just on account of location is not reallyfair. We have quite a few guys from Ohio, Illinois, Kansas, Iowa in the contest. We know these states are capable ofgrowing 170, 180, 190 and a few 200 class bucks. Where are their monsters this year ?? Alot of theseguys are very good hunters.Apparently it isn't just aboutLOCATION !! You've got to get them in bow range.

Jeff shot a maturebuck. Who caresif it didn't have a rack on it comparableto most bucks inany of the four states mention above. It was a mature buck and a good one for his area. He had a history with it. What more could a guy ask for ??Why he needs to constantly throw location in everyone's face, I have no idea??[&:] Hell, I would have been happy tagging a mature buck this year and couldgive a rat's arse lessif it didn't compare to bucks in other areas.
