to put it nicely you wouldnt have much squirrel left with that set up unless they were really far away(in my opinion). do you have a .22lr or maybe a .17hmr. or if you wanna stick with a shotgun alot of us use 20 gauge and .410. if the 12 gauage is all you got i would go with a choke that gives you an open pattern.hope this helps
