RE: See through mounts

First thing i do with a new gun is take off the iron sights if there are any on it.i put on the lowest scope mounts and rings that the scope will allow.Too many folks turn that variable scope as high as it will go and then are unable to get on a deer close in. IMO:A high powered scope on a muzzleloader is like racing slicks on a2 1/2 ton Army truck.WWII snipers made some very long kills with scopes that ranged from 2.5 to four power.
For me it is so much easier to pick upa running hog or deerin a scope than it is with iron sights.
