Default Red Dot Holographic Sights for Hunting

I recently purchased a Marlin Model 1895M lever action in .450 Marlin caliber. Other reviews seem to unamiously suggest replacing the factory sights. Wild West guns, Williams, XLand several other companies manufacture hardware sights to accomplish this purpose. Does anyone have any experience with using a holographic/reflex sight on hunting rifles? The Model 1895M is only going to be effective up to amout 180-90 yards and I really don't want to disrupt the balance with a traditional tubular scope not to mention the limitation of field of view for moving close targets. has anyone ever considered or tried using one of these tactical sights like EOTech, Trijicon or others on close range hunting brush guns?
