I know this subject has been hashed and rehashed...(in addition, I am not savvy when using the "search" function.) I am a pretty basic, casual BP enthusiast. I have only shot yellow tipped .50 250 TC shockwaves through my rifle, on top of 100 grains 777 pellets. I want to shoot some other bullets and wanted to hear what you guys have been having luck with...Thx for the assist.

If you insist on pellets, use the Pyrodex and include 30-grain pellets in tweaking your load. Omegas are not fussy with hardly any bullet from 180-430 grains. But they are sometimes fussy with 209 primers (they prefer weaker primers).... also fussy with plastic sabots. They seem to prefer the thinner sabot - especially black .451/.452. Use either Harvester, Harvester Crush Ribs, MMP HPH-24 or MMP 3 Petal EZLoad sabots.
