RE: The Tekan 2
I have taken 4 deer with the Tekan II now. All left blood trails Ray Charles could follow and half dropped in sight. I was most impressed with them this year when I had a bad shot on a deer. Arrow entered the front shoulder smashing it to pieces. It continued through the deer breaking the leg on the other side. Deer barely made it 20 yrds. A couple touches with a stone and it the Tekan is ready to go again. (I did replace the expandable blades) I only shoot 66lbs as well.
For the person that states the Tekan didn't open on his deer. The Tekan II has a 5/8" 4 blade cutting diameter in closed position. Add 1/8" cutting diameter to each blade and it would be legal to hunt with in many places, in the closed position! It sounds more like a field point was accidently used. I am not disputing it didn't happen, anything can.
The times I have used them they have performed flawlessly.
