so don't put a custom barrel on it. Just put a 4-6 power scope on it. That rifle is capable of pretty good accuracy from the factory, and reliable as hell too. I rean close to 100,000 rounds through mine the 2nd summer I had it as a kid. I'd hit the gun show once a month a buy about 25,000 rounds ( this is back when ammo for everything was still cheap....about 16 years ago) never had a problem with it. Lots of aftermarket for it out there, so you might think about a new trigger though.
