The things I get talked into... I went to my proshop this afternoon with the intention on picking up replacement blades for my Wasp Boss heads. No blades. Not wanting to order blades online and pay shipping I ask him for a suggestion of an alternative head. His eyes lit up. "You should try the Rage". "For real, with my setup?", I ask. "You should have no problems." Of course, I thought I was saved as the shop was sold out of those evil Rage heads Nope, the guy behind counter produced a pack of Tekan 2 broadheads. "Try these, I think you'll be impressed".
My initial impressions: Not too sharp out the package, but I know how to touch up blades. The blades open fully when I push the head through a single sheet of paper. I think G5's estimate of 3lbs of KE to open the blades is an overestimate. Is right there with my field points. So, far, despite being a good sized mechanical, this seems to be a promising head for me. Hopefully, I'll have a field report by Friday.
