Been using scopes for way over 40 years now and never had a see-through mount until a couple weeks ago. I have a Traditions Pursuit Pro that has very high sights on it, and I couldn't get a scope to clear the rear sight. I decided to try a see-through mount, so I bought a set of T/C Gorilla Grip bases & rings. Put them on, and to be completely honest don't even notice the added height when shooting. I always thought they'd be a poor setup, but so far they seem to be just fine on that rifle. Shot a deer with it in gun season and never even thought about the see-through rings being there. (and I even put the bullet just where I wanted it!)
