I'm not saying that it can't be done. I am quite sure there are people that can pull it off, I probably know a few. However the chances of finding a person that has the skill AND the equipment to pull it off are probably pretty high.

It is not uncommon for people exagerate their ability or equipment performance on the internet.

And the people I do know that could pull this off I don't think would have the stones to say they could do it consistently and bet you any kind of real money on it. Because they have been around enough to know that at that distance too many things could effect the shot for a half inch group. Even with the skill and equipment there is still a certain element of luck involved.

My .17HMR is capable of 1/2 inch groups at 100 yards if I am up to it. I wouldn't bet money on it happening every time though. 1 to 1.5 inch groups consistantly is more like it.
