Default RE: tree saddle

gzg and wilson....I have been interested in a tree saddle for a long time....do you guys use strap on tree steps sometimes?...the place I hunt I cannot put screw in tree steps in the trees. I would need to use strap on steps or maybe even climbing sticks(which I do not prefer to lug in deep)..I would appreciate any feedback, the little things that make the saddle difficult or great...thank you.
I have used the Ameristep strap on steps and I like them. I'll use them to get to my furthest spots since they are so small and light to carry. They work great for any tree that you can wrap your arms around. For shorter walks, I take my Lone Wolf stick because I can get up the tree faster with it.

My favorite tree saddle setup is to find a tree that branches into two trunks at its base, and then hang between the two trees. Youget alot of cover, yet you can still shoot in any direction. And you have a back rest to lean against.
