Perhaps they need to give hunters markmanship classes or have you pass a proficiency test before going hunting. I would be in favor of that. Yes there are a lot of "Magnum" shooters that think they will make up for a lousy shot with a hit anywhere on the body but all a magnum does is increase range, But there is no denying that a bigger ,heavier projectile going faster is going to do more damage then a "Pop" gun and at extended ranges.Big Animals require Big Bullets especially when the conditions are bad, the animal is at an angle etc etc etc.

When you talk about marksmanship and proficiency tests on this forum, everybody understand your context and sentiment. But that kind of testing is also what the anti gun / anti hunting crowd would like to see. Once the test is in place, they just raise the standard till nobody can pass. And don't be calling the 25-06 a pop gun![:@]
