i passed on a bear that was twice that size at bout 120 pounds cause i thought it was toosmall to kill....good thing where i used to live i had bears in my yard on a regular basis that i can now tell the size of bears by themselves now......................bob

its legal now NOT to look at size,so poor cubs who never had chance to get big are shot.
you look and i have looked as i have been REQUIRED years ago to LOOK.
but you know, a bear hunter that is concerned that cub gets bigger will LOOK and know size of bear .there are many like us.
a cub under 100 pds is so small,i just cant believe story that they did not know its size when you see the bullet thru head at 150 yds running..my dog is 80 pds and is real small..
meat is playing purpose in this also.some are MEAT nuts.
