By the way---How is the hunting around Lake Shelbyville? Have camped there before and was just wondering
It's like most public access, if you put in the effort and mostly stay away from the roads, you can have decent success. Be willing to put up with anything other hunters throw at you. I mostly hunt during the work week so I eliminate most hunters, but just this morning, I had another hunter walk within 20 yards of my stand after I had been there for 45 minutes. He then walked out at 8:30 and asked what all I had seen, as a very large 10 pt. was walking into the bedding area just 200 yds. away. Being on the ground he couldn't see him. I've hunted this area for over 20 years and have seen it all. Just be curtious to other hunters using the same area and everyone will get along.
