RE: .270 or .30-06?
I don't think one is better then the other (I'll say the same for the 280 Rem.). The 30-06 has the advantage if you want to use heavier bullets for larger game,but for deer and varmints that's not going to be an issue. Both are available in a lot of rifles.Finding ammo shouldn't be a problem for eitherof them.They're both classic cartridges that will work great. A 130 gr. bullet from a 270 or a 150 gr. bulletfrom a 30-06 is flat out deer poison. [/align][/align]The 25-06 Rem. is another really good varmint/deer cartridge.It's not a popular asthe 270 or 30-06, of course not to many cartridges are though![/align][/align]
