I don't have a stock form this company, but my Encore came with a laminated thumbhole stock and I had to replace it once already due to a crack behind the hammer. I really do like the laminated stock and the extra weight really tames the max loads that I shoot. I have yet to have a sore shoulder after my shooting sessions and the recoil pad works great that came with the gun. If you want to tame the kick go to the wood stocks and it will take some of the bite out of your rifle, but it does get heavy to carry aound in the mountains when elk hunting. Overall well worth the extra weight to tame the killer!
