I have taken many different varmints with many different types of guns. I am currently using my new .17hmr to take armadillos and crows. It is extremly accurate and flat shooting. It is a rimfire, but it is more devastating than the .22lr or mag. I have been reading up on the new Remington model 700 .221 fireball. This seems to be a great varmint gun.
