I certainly won' t breed Casey until he has AT LEAST a Hunting Retriever Champion - or Senior (Master Hunting Retriever) title. But, if he gets that far one of these days (or next year), we' ve got the OFA part done. Then would be a CERF within 12 months prior to breeding and a brucellosis tests for him and the female - and the female would have to be OFA Good or better on hips and Normal for elbows and have at least an equivalent title.

If a breeding won' t have a good chance of improving the breed, then don' t do it.
