Once you get in your stand pull your bow in several different position and adj the strap accordingly, but just remember, if you fall will the strap still do it job and not make it hard to get back in your stand. I had a friend that had it too loose and he ended up hanging below hit stand and couldn't get back in. He had to cut the tether and drop to the ground, needless to say it could have come out worst than it did, he got lucky, this time. Just remember safety first, always.
