I want something bigger than my .270's. I would like to get something different that not many people have. I was thinking about a .270 WSM,
.270 is a .270.
becasue of that, they'd both utilize the same bullet weights. Simply changing the case length is all the WSM does.
I do have to applaud you on wanting somthing different. That's my rules of thumb as well. However, be prepared to reload as these odd cartridges aren't always readily accessable at shops.
My latest "different" chambering is .405 Ruger #1. [8D] Were I to simply want something different yet larger calaiber than .270, I'd opt for a .300 H&H, a .300 Savage, or a .35 Whelen.
