Woodseye-There are in fact two 180gr partitions listed by nosler.One is the 180 gr protected point which does have a lower ballistic co-efficient than the standard 180gr partition.
Otis-This is exactly what I have been saying all along about winchester and browning trying to mislead people.They aren' t satisfied with telling us about the merits of their new cartridges but instead try to mislead us with skewed data.While the muzzle velocity figures may be correct for the wsm' s they are unrealistcally low for the standard magnums.Add in the difference in ballistic co-efficients and the result is an attempt at deception at best and outright lying at worst.
