The state of Wyoming does not allow permanent tree stands or over night cache in national forests.. I bring a climber when I have patterned my animal. Usually , spot and stalk or ground blinds seem to be more effective in the more pressured N.F. areas, but when in the wilderness areas, if you can get a stand in the backcountry, a light climber is the way to go, it could take time to get in place, but many big game animals have been harvested from trees in Wyoming.
