I agree! All these new short magnums and super short mags for that matter can' t do anything that their full length counterparts can' t. They just do it in a shorter action. For some people that is enough. All of the full length rounds these came from will do everything that the shorts do and do it further than most of us should be shooting. If you' re going to compare two virtually identical rounds to each other then make it an honest comparison. But then if they did that then people would realize that all these new short mags and supershort mags aren' t really necessary. However, us gun nuts are known to do things like develop new rounds just so we can buy more guns. I know I am always looking for a reason to buy a new gun in a different caliber. :-)
