Amazing how i can use them for... 5-6 years and never have a lost deer or a deer that ran over 30 yards. In our group, Only 1 deer ran more than 30 yards. All of mine either dropped on the spot or went a maximum of 10 yards. Now i have used other conicals where i have lost deer but thats a different topic.
I know everybodys experiance is different. I have a sneaking feeling they exploded on impact. thats the only thing I can think of. They shot great out to 100 yards out of my knight bighorn. Just this year my cousin lost a big doe to a 295 grain PB. He said she was 30 yards away broadside and he never found any blood or anything.
Honestly the best performing bullet i have ever shot a deer with was the barnes expander. I accidentaly killed 2 with 1 shot at 70 yards. I had no clue there was another deer standing behind the one I shot. She was in the brush behind the one I shot so I didnt see her. My jaw dropped when I walked up to the deer I shot and saw another one 10 yards behind her stone cold dead. Upong dressing them both the bullet almost made a complete pass through on the second deer! The holes were huge and the bullet performed perfectly with perfect expansion. Those are now my go to bullet for hunting.
