If you sight your first pin at 20yds, is that good for 1-20yrds or 20-30yds?
It totally depends on the speed of your bow. Even shooting 270fps, I'd be eating tag soup if I used my 20yd (actually 24) pin on what I wanted to hit @ 30 (actually 32 yds).
Afew archers claim to shoot successfully at game past 100 yards but I don't see how. Even if they could hit the game animal,there ain't enough energy left for sure,safe kill.
Actually, according to a ballistics calculater I use, there is still plenty of energy left for a kill deer sized animal. Try it here.... :
