"I took my White 50 cal Ultramag out and sighted it in today. I have it shooting 2" high at 100 yards. The load I am using is 90 grains of Triple 7 triple f and a 250 grain Barnes bullet. What surprised me is when I moved out to 200 yards the bullet dropped about 30", does that sound right?"
Do not put too much faith in ballistic charts. There is absolutely no substitute for shooting the rifle at the longest range that you plan to shoot game at. You have done that and found a 30" drop at 200 yards. You can either sight the gun to hit higher at 100 yards (not recommended) or load some more powder in the barrel. Try about 110 grains of the same powder, re-sight the gun at 100 yards and see how much the bullet drops at 200 yards.
