In NW Wisconsin, where I hunt, it is a 50/50 mix of fields and woods. I love to hunt on funnels/ridges by doe bedding areas. My best luck, and that of my hunting group, has always been in these spots, not really by field edges. Our last two P&Y bucks came midday on these types of areas. Most of our Rut setups are on spots we beleive a buvk will troll for does. So.....we set up on spots that lead to the does.

We usually hunt all day btw.
