simple, deep woods. when bucks are rutting and chasing doe's, they could care less about food plots and eating. this is why bucks are thinner than normal and "beat up" looking when observed or shot during the rut. if a buck in rut is seen on a food plot, it's because there is a hot doe out there feeding.
