Thats a long hike but sounds like you're having fun. My girl talked me once into doing a part of the Apallatian Trail in TN, 50lb of gear and 11-15 miles each day up and down mountain sides. It's fun but I felt my legs for the next week.

On a side note, do you hunt Midewin? I'm interested in heading out there just beacause it's close to where I work (Orland Park) just not sure what are to focus on, it's like 7000 ac total.
