1 in 60" is strictly a round ball barrel. The 1 in 48" will shoot both conical and round ball well. I use the 250 gr REAL in my rifle as well as patched RB. Got the racks to prove it. The length of the barrel determines the spin. 1 turn in 60" is only a half turn or so in a 30" barrel so a 1 in 28" will put a full spin on a conical or sabot which they need to stablize.
