Sounded like a great time. I've had more oppurtunities this year to take deer on the ground than I ever have. Not tooting my own horn but I guess I've gotten perty dag gum good at it.

Are you paying close attention to the wind? I realize this is not the best method out there but I tie a piece of thread on my sight bar to indicate wind direction. It helps a bunch. Instead of standing in front of trees; try finding a small cluster of trees to get between or behind. Build a blind?

OR....maybe some open patterned camo is in your future?
