I' ll second Atlasman. You can get a nice Martin set up for under $500. I shoot the Panther Mag and I swear it is the smoothest bow I' ve ever shot. I paid $359 for it from the pro shop and later found that I could have gotten it for $300 on line. It was worth it to get it from the shop as they have been really helpful about everything since then.
