makes some great points. early on in the season there should be no need for aggressive calling. stick to the basic quacks and feeding chuckles. you will not yeild a neon sign that way! as for decoys.. I agree with mj.for example if the wind is in your face. put the decoys out around 35-45 yds. that way you have a pocket right in front of you for them to land in. Good Luck!
