I also own one of each, and both are about 20 years old. Both have taken more than their share of abuse (drops, dents, temperature changes) and both are just as clear as the day I installed them and neither one has ever had the X-hairs move. Both excellent scopes for the money. I figure if either one of them goes bonkers now, I' ve definitely got my moneys worth out of them.
